  • Pick two or three that you are most interested in.


  • Contact the volunteer coordinator and wait to hear back.

  • Tell them age group (1st or 2nd grade kids).


  • Make sure they have space to run the program.


  • Tell them the different art materials needed to do the program or acquire the materials yourself.

  • Determine how frequently your team would like to have Story Time With sessions and notify the organization accordingly.

  • Choose a list of books to read with the kids each session (pick one series each time). We will help you with ideas.


  • Dedicate a member of your team to get books at your local library for each session. 


  • Determine what art supplies you will need for each session.

  • During club meetings, discuss different art projects you could do based on the books. Or, you can find ideas online.


  • Decide how to split into groups (e.g.,  2 team members working with approximately 5 kids each.
